To visit the International Office, you need to schedule your visit via email first.
The Office is open from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, Tuesday–Thursday
After the start of the semester, there will certainly be a short meeting with the faculty coordinator where you will learn all the necessary and up-to-date informations.
Usually, the first step is to visit selected courses where you can agree with the teachers about the conditions and possibilities of registering for classes. The coordinator will provide you with a schedule of all clasess and also set a date (mostly around 2-3 weeks) when you need to confirm your chosen courses at the latest.
You can configure your subjects list freely based on the course program. Erasmus students usually join 3rd and 4th year groups (you do not have to choose subjects from the year you are in). The 1st and 2nd year are introductory subjects taught in Polish, in large groups, and the 5th year is for diplomas.
Most courses can be enrolled for 5 or 6 ECTS points or in double hours mode for 12 ECTS points. Double ECTS credits allow you to complete a larger project in the doubled subject, they reflect into the number of working hours, but most importantly into the scale of the semester assignment – it is worth asking the teacher about this possibility if you want to focus primarily on his subject.
It is best to choose 3 to 5 studios so as not to overload your program.
In case of a large number of applicants, some studios organize an additional portfolio review, but similar themes are also implemented in other studios, so you can always be located in your areas of interest.
The formula of classes depends on the subject and on the number of foreign students in the studio – sometimes it is additional groups, sometimes individual work, but each elective class allows contact in English.
